Fish ponds over 8 feet deep can benefit from adding a draw-tube attachment to aerate the deep water near the bottom of the pond. A WaterSmith Draw Tube Kit costs $99 for a 1/2hp or 1hp fountain and $160 for a 2hp fountain. The draw tube kit provides the adapters necessary to attach a 4″ PVC pipe (schedule 20, 35 or 40) which can be easily purchased and custom cut at any local hardware store. Other fountains can’t be customized to meet the needs of deeper ponds.
Premium Light Kit Details:
The WaterSmith Premium LED Light Kits contains three brilliant Color-Changing LED lights (18w each/54w total or 36w each/108w total), a control box and the choice of either a smart phone app or an RF remote. It can be controlled using an (Android or IOS) smartphone (smart device not included) or with the rf remote control pad. This allows the user to control the lighting from shore. The control box plugs into a normal 110 volt (60hz) outlet and is rated for outdoor use. LED Lamps are rated for 50,000 hours of life. This light kit is submersible.
The Smart Phone controller can be used with or without wifi coverage over the pond where the fountain is installed. It also allows users to set the light changing patterns to music for festive displays! The user can play music from a playlist stored on the device or a streaming service such as Pandora or Spotify!
We do recommend using the smart controller. It gives the user many more features, including setting the lights to the exact color shade you desire, having the lights change colors to the beat of your favorite music and setting up to six different timers to turn your lights on/off or change color patterns automatically. Our new RF remote does not have the ability to set timers. Without using the smartphone controller, you would need to plug the control box into a weatherproof mechanical timer (available at any hardware store) or turn it on/off manually.
