WARRANTY INFORMATION
Fountain Pump
All Atlantic Tidal Wave Pumps carry a two year warranty. The warranty is void if any of the following apply:
- The pump has been run while not fully submersed causing the thermal protection to trip.
- The pump was not run on a dedicated circuit.
- The cord has been cut or altered by anyone other than Freshwater Farms. (Modifications to your cord made by Freshwater Farms/WaterSmith have been approved by Atlantic Water Gardens.)
- The pump has been misused or abused.
- Serial number tag has been removed.
- The pump has been fully or partially disassembled.
All other Fountain Components
The Float, Float Booster (if applicable), UpTube, Nozzle, Pattern Attachments, and Draw Tube Kit are all covered under a three year warranty. The warranty is void if items are misused or abused. Freshwater Farms is not liable for any loss or damage and property damage resulting from installer’s negligence.
Light Kits
The transformer has a limited five year warranty. All other parts have a one year warranty, excluding lamps/bulbs, which are not covered. The warranty is void if items are misused or abused. Light fixtures are not submersible; submerging them will damage them and void the warranty.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
Keep your WaterSmith Order Form & Receipt for reference. Doing so will help us locate your order in our files quickly, identify the date of purchase and give us direct access to your fountain’s serial number.
If your fountain is not functioning properly, follow the trouble shooting guide located on the back cover (page 14) of your Fountain Owner’s Guide. If the issue still remains, then call Freshwater Farms/WaterSmith at 937-652-3701 to discuss. At that time, we will give our recommendation on how to proceed. In most cases, we will require the defective part(s) to be shipped back to us before a replacement can be issued. The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping when sending part(s) back to us. If it is determined to be a warranty claim, WaterSmith will cover the cost of shipping back to the customer. If the part in question is deemed not defective and/or not under warranty, the customer will be responsible for shipping charges to return the part(s) to the customer.
Pumps: We will ask you a series of questions to try and identify the cause of the problem. We may have you ship the pump back to us for review before a replacement can be issued. Many times, a quick repair can be made to take care of the issue rather than replacing the pump.
Floats: If a float is leaking, call Freshwater Farms/WaterSmith at 937-652-3701 to report a claim. At that time, we will verify that you quality for a warranty replacement and arrange to ship you a new float. In that shipment, you will receive a UPS Return Shipper to send the damaged float back to us. Before shipping, use a drill to make a hole in one side and drain all of the water out.
Transformer: Contact YardBright at 1-866-562-1224. YardBright will repair, or replace all parts which are found to have original manufacturing defects, provided the product is returned at the customers expense. This warranty does not apply to loss or damage to the product due to improper installation, abuse, alteration, mishandling, accident, or if the product has been serviced by other than YardBright, or its authorized service centers.
Other Components: Depending on the circumstance, we may need the part(s) shipped back to us before we ship you a replacement(s).
RETURN POLICY
An unused fountain in new condition may be returned within 30 days of purchase. The fountain must be returned in the original packaging or should be professionally re-packed to prevent damage to the product during shipment. You will be charged a 20% re-stocking fee and are responsible for paying shipping. If the packaging was not sufficient and the product arrives damaged, you will be charged accordingly. Once a fountain has been placed in the water, it cannot be returned.
