The Hatchery will be back on winter hours beginning Monday, November 3rd  — Monday through Saturday (10am – 5pm), for the Winter season.

Welcome to Ohio’s largest freshwater fish farm! We specialize in the rearing of Rainbow Trout, from egg to adult stocking fish to our premier fish delicacies. You can visit the White Sturgeon in our sturgeon petting zoo and view endangered Lake Sturgeon in a separate tank. We also carry a variety of seasonal stocking fish, such as the aquatic weed-controlling White Amur (nicknamed the grass carp).

We recently cleaned the sturgeon tanks for our sturgeon petting zoo. In order to do so, we first needed to move the sturgeon to a temporary tank. Once the cleaning was done, it was time to move the sturgeon back to their own tank. This shows how we do the move.

Much of our Hatchery is open to the public year round (10am-6pm during the summer season and 10am-5pm during the winter season) to explore for free. In addition, we offer guided tours for groups of 15 or more (call ahead at least 2 weeks in advance to be sure of availability).
