White Amur

$16.00

WHITE AMUR Certified Sterile Triploids (Ctenopharyngodon idella)

White Amur feed on algae and are great natural solution for keeping algae under control in your pond as long as you stock the right amount for the size of your pond. You can stock white amur any time of the year. While the reduction of vegetation helps benefit swimming and fishing activities, we recommend the construction of a nursery and spawning habitat using sunken evergreen trees and structures.

10-15 per acre stocking rate is recommended for a normal pond. 30-50 per acre are recommended for a golf course or highly fertile pond.

Always call before coming (937-652-3701) to check on availability
